Did you know that Alarm Lock’s Networx Access Control products allow the end user to “Lockdown” or “Unlock” up to 2,000 locks? This can be accomplished two different ways; from the PC running DL Windows Software or from any lock within the system without having to go back to the PC by an authorized(s).
This allows the end user the greatest flexibility implementing their Networx Access Control System. I have listed how to set up both scenarios:
From the PC running DL Windows
1. You must have DL Windows open and running
2. Open the account you want to initiate the Global Lockdown, click on “Wireless Commands”, “Emergency Lockdown” or “Emergency Passage”
3. To Reset, click on “Wireless Commands, “Return to Normal”
From any lock within the system (DL/PDL Series Only).
1. All Gateways must be configured with Static IP Addresses
2. User must have been previously authorized and programmed into all locks; up to 50 users may perform this function.
3. Authorized user presents their credential (PIN, Prox, Pin & Prox) at any lock followed by “911” on the keypad for “Emergency Lockdown” or “000” for “Emergency Passage”.
4. By Default all locks are set to this feature and basic users are locked out. This may be changed in the software for each lock to either not respond to Global Commands or to respond, but not lock out basic users.
5. To reset the system and “Return to Normal” from any lock, authorized user presents their credential, plus “123” on the keypad
While we do offer PL versions of the Networx products, Emergency Global Commands may only be performed at the PC running DL Windows since there is no keypad to enter the emergency 3 digit command.
Should a user want the ability to initiate “Emergency Global Commands within in a system of PL Series locks without having to go back to the PC, simply install PDL series products strategically thru-out the facility.
