Alarm Lock webinars schedule April 5 & 7

Alarm Lock has scheduled training sessions on DL Windows v5 and Basic Networx Connectivity for the first week of April. Join Andy Phelps CRL, CAI for valuable training sessions on DL Windows version 5 and Basic Networx Connectivity scheduled for April 5 and April 7.

 

Schedule

Tuesday April 5 will have 2 sessions on DL Windows version 5 at 11am and 3pm EDT. These sessions will cover the Alarm Lock Trilogy programming software and Andy will show you how to create a new account which includes lock profiles, lock users, schedules and some of the more advanced features of the Trilogy locks.

 

Thursday April 7 will have 2 sessions on Basic Networx Connectivity at 11am and 3pm EDT. These sessions will continue the DL Windows v5 training pertaining to the Networx lock system including how to add gateways, expanders and locks to the account. Some of the advanced features of the Networx system will also be covered.

Alarm Lock training calendar for April and May posted

Alarm Lock has posted it upcoming calendar of trainings for the months of April and May. These are all onsite trainings for the locking/security professional across the country. From Seattle, WA to Richmond, VA, dealers and security professionals can get inperson training by Andy Phelps CRL, CAI, Alarm Lock National Training Manager.

These trainings will consist of trainings on Air Access Cellular Access control, Networx wireless programming access control and the T2 Trilogy line of locks.

Popular Alarm Lock webinars scheduled for Oct 26-27 and Nov 3

Back by popular demand, Alarm Lock webinars covering DL Windows and an Overview of Networx Trilogy/ArchiTech locks.

On October 26 and 27 there are multiple sessions on DL Windows. These sessions will cover the basics of the Alarm Lock Trilogy programming software. Topics such as how to create accounts and locks, adding users and creating schedules are just a few. There will be 2 sessions each day.

On November 3, an Overview of the Networx/ArchiTech locks will be covered. The topics will be the difference in the Networx systems vs. the T3 Trilogy locks as well as how the system is programmed. There will be 3 sessions.

AirAccess - This session will cover the NEW revolutionary subscription Air Access system. This system utilizes a cellular network versus the standard IT network and cloud based software that can be accessed from anywhere without the need to open IT ports or use static IP addresses. No IT department hassles. A demo of the real time reporting software will be shown.

Wednesday December 1 - 2 sessions (11 am EDT and 3 pm EDT)

DL Windows v 5.5.3 software - This session will cover the Trilogy and Networx programming software from installation of the software to programming the Trilogy T3 locks. Included topics are: creating accounts and lock profiles, adding lock users and credentials, creating schedules and features of the Trilogy locks. Finally, programming the T3 locks with either a PCI2-U cable or DTM III module will be demonstrated.

Alarm Lock has updated the webinar trainings through April 8. These topics include DL Windows version 5, Basic Networx Connectivity and a new 30 minute Networx Trilogy/ArchiTech overview. These are recurring sessions and you can choose the date and time that best fits into your schedule.

The DL Windows version 5 sessions will cover the T3 and Networx lock programming software. Andy Phelps, Alarm Lock National Training Manager, will show you how to use the software to your needs. How to create an account and lock profiles, how to create schedules for automatic unlocking or user access and how to program the T3 locks with the DTM III or from a laptop will be shown.

The Basic Networx Connectivity will show the basics of the Networx wirelessly programmed locks including how to discover the gateways, expanders and locks. How to set the gateway with a static IP address and how to use the Global Emergency Commands for lockdown will be shown.

The Networx Trilogy/ArchiTech Overview will be a 30 minute session covering the options for the Networx Stand-alone access control system. Topics will include the Networx Lite, standard Networx and the new Revolutionarly easy AirAccess cloud based software that uses Cellular radios for a system without using a standard IT network.

Why does my Networx lock show "Not Listed" when discovering

Your DL-Windows software version is outdated. If you have discovered a lock without a model number listed (see example image, below), it is likely that your DL-Windows software is older than the model itself.

For example, if you are trying to discover a model DL1300NW, PDL1300NW, DL6300 or PDL6300, you must be running DL-Windows version 5.5.3 or later for these newer lock models to appear.

Alarm Lock has added 8 webinars for the month of December on it's calendar located here. Below is a list of the sessions, dates and times and descriptions.

 

DL Windows v.5

This course will cover all aspects of DL Windows Software programming, including setting up a system with users, time zones, schedules, programming and retrieving an audit trail for the Trilogy T3 products. This class is a must for anyone that uses the Trilogy Standalone access control locks both the T3 standalone and Networx products. Several tips and shortcuts will be shown to the student for easier software usage.

Tuesday December 1 11am and 3pm Eastern time and Tuesday December 15 11am and 3pm Eastern time

 

Alarm Lock Basic Networx Connectivity

This course will cover the Alarm Lock Networx product line. The student will be shown how to discover the Networx gateways and locks in the DL Windows software. The locks will then be programmed via the gateway. The Emergency Global Commands will be demonstrated as well as some of the unique features that the Networx locks are capable of preforming.

Oct 20

T2 Product line programming and installation - This session is designed for the locksmith, dealer or installer. The entire T2 product line will be discussed and will include how to program the lock at the keypad and how to install each type of lock. The line includes models for cylindrical, mortise, exit bar, narrow stile and double sided keypad applications.

Oct 21

DL Windows v.5 - This session will cover the Alarm Lock Trilogy programming software (DL Windows) for programming the T3 and Networx line of locks. Topics covered will include how to properly install the software, creating accounts and lock profiles, adding users including Master Code and managers, scheduling and how to use the programming devices (AL-PCI2-U cable and DTM III).

Oct 28

Basic Networx - This session will cover the Networx locks including the ArchiTech line. Topics covered will include how to discover the Gateway and Expander, discover the locks, how to send programming to the locks and the Emergency "Global" commands.

Oct 29

Advanced Networx - This session will cover more advanced topics of the Networx products. Topics covered will include how to set up the Network Configuration for the Gateways, the Gateway Config window and the Lock Profile right click options. How to set up the system for remote programming will also be discussed.

Alarm Lock has the updated schedule of webinars for October listed on the Seminars page of the Alarm Lock website. You can see the entire schedule by clicking here. Topics include:

Alarm Lock Trilogy T2 product line Installation and Programming

    There are 4 sessions of this new webinar training. These sessions will cover the entire Trilogy T2 product line and will include the proper installation and keypad programming of this popular format of lock. The T2 series is all keypad programmed and you will be shown some of the basic functions but also some of the less commonly known functions. The product line now includes, cylindrical, mortise, exit bar trim, double sided (keypad on both sides) and the narrow stile. There will be 4 sessions during the month.

DL Windows version 5

    This popular webinar will show you how to properly download and install the software. You will be shown how to create an account, add lock profiles and Global Users. You will also learn how to create schedules including the Open Window schedules. We will discuss some of the lesser known features of the locks such as Group 2 toggles passage mode and how to set up a wireless remote release. The DTM III and PCI programming devices for the T3 line will also be demonstrated.

Basic Networx Connectivity

    This session will show you the Networx product line and how to discover the Gateways, Expanders and Locks. The Global Emergency commands will be demonstrated as well.

Advanced Networx Connectivity

    The Advanced session on Networx Connectivity will walk you through the more advanced features of the Networx system. We will discuss how to configure the Gateways network configuration (static IP address and WiFi settings), how to set up for remote (off site) connection to the gateways and how to replace a Gateway. Other items such as the right click menu for the locks which includes features such as passage mode and manual unlock.

New web training courses listed on Alarm Lock calendar

We are offering new web training courses that have never been offered in the past in the month of September. All of these sessions will be held twice on the day listed at 11 am and 3 pm Eastern time. Below is a list of the upcoming sessions and descriptions:

Tuesday Sept 8 - Trilogy Installation and Repair  

This session will cover the proper installation of the Trilogy cylindrical, exit bar trim and Narrow style locks. The proper tools necessary and some tricks to make the installation easier are covered. The repair of the mortise and exit bar trim will be shown along with parts that are available for the repair. The cylindrical lever return spring replacement will also be shown.

Wednesday Sept 9 - Alarm Lock Pilfergard exit alarms

This session will cover the Alarm Lock Pilfergard exit alarms that are used to monitor doors for unauthorized exit. These small devices mount on the door or frame and have either a keyed cylinder or keypad to disarm for authorized exit. These are popular on stairwell doors or unmanned rear doors in areas such as stock rooms. Proper installation and first time set up are described along with other options for things such as monitoring multiple doors and even a doorbell function.

Wednesday Sept 16 - Alarm Lock Alarmed exit bars

These alarmed exit bars are used to monitor unmanned exits to prevent unauthorized exit just like the Pilfergard but are a also the locking device. The proper installation and set up will be covered.

Thursday Sept 17 - Trilogy T2 and T3 keypad programming

These sessions will cover the most used keypad programming functions of the T2 and T3 stand alone access control locks. Functions such as changing the master code, add/delete/changing of user pin codes and passage mode will be shown on a mounted lock. Other not so widely known functions such as finding the user position of a pin code on a T2 and adding schedules on a T3 will be covered.

Also, there will be an additional day covering the DL Windows v5.5.3 Trilogy lock programming software on Tuesday Sept 15.
